We’re CORE Estimating – a fast-growing, disruptive consultancy that’s shaking up how construction estimating is done. We’re not a boring, corporate QS firm where you’re chained to spreadsheets all day. With services ranging from estimating to lead generation, you’ll play an exciting role in shaping the future of CORE and our sister company BASE Construction.

This isn’t just about numbers on a page. It’s about creating real, usable pre-construction support that helps builders win work and deliver it profitably. You’ll be right in the mix—working with CORE’s growing client base and alongside a well respected domestic contractor - giving you exposure to both consultancy and live project delivery.

We’re growing, and we need another estimator/QS to jump in and help us keep shaking things up.

What you’ll be doing:

•⁠ ⁠Preparing estimates, BOQs, and take-offs for a wide range of projects and contractors across the UK.

•⁠ ⁠Issuing subcontractor packages and chasing prices on behalf of clients (because that’s where the real value is).

•⁠ ⁠Preparing monthly valuations for our retainer clients.

•⁠ ⁠Helping shape CORE as we expand – no two days are the same, and you’ll be involved in exciting new projects everyday.

•⁠ ⁠Reaching out to prospective clients and helping grow the CORE brand.

•⁠ ⁠Managing client relationships, keeping them happy, informed, and impressed.

•⁠ ⁠Visiting local sites to get a hands-on understanding of projects, whilst representing CORE and our clients.

What we’re looking for:

•⁠ ⁠A background in estimating or quantity surveying (main contractor or subbie side is fine).

•⁠ ⁠Good with Excel, estimating software, and numbers – but also good with people.

•⁠ ⁠Ideally 5+ years’ experience, but we care more about the way you work than the exact CV bullet points.

•⁠ ⁠A QS bored of the corporate world, looking to take on an exciting role in a young, different consultancy.
